embracing disco, techno and house music in all its declinations, what ever not introduces now british artist reformed society, project started by house producer harsh puri as a consequence of djing and collecting records since 1998, debuting with a four track old school house ep, optimistic chaos coherently fitting with the italian imprint philosophy. ‘hope’ has that solar, yet dusty groove folding distorted rhythmics and joyful pads around an insistent lead dubby pattern and shimmering synths. ‘optimistic chaos’ is again smooth but lightly gloomy, until a pause intoxicates one’s body and mind filling them with inebriating ambients. ‘incognito’ delivers a deep driving atmosphere here, featuring dogged, crisp drums together with minimalist, yet momentary cosmic motives. for the closing cut ‘detracid’, the artist cooks up a brew of acid lines with the usual charming synths and vivid hats, building a light sense of tension fired up by the warm, heady sound scapes. each track is similar to the last, stiffening the musical timbre of the label, confirming the producer’s strong artistic identity as a consequence.

as the dust settles on eduardo s most successful year to date – a year that saw him release his debut album >the intellinet prophecy< and drop science on labels such as badance, nonplus, mental groove and his own analogue solutions – the spanish super-producer propels into the new year with another broad, rich statement of musical intent: this time on marco faraone’s and norman methner s uncage. a label that doesnt just nurture unbridled, freeform creativity but insists upon it, uncage ignited late 2015 with marco s mesmerising >rotaryknobs< and remixes from both radio slave and markus suckut. each artist setting the bar high with their own unique take on techno, it s a tough release to follow. naturally, though, eduardo delivered a wonderful ep. and he’s done so with three beautiful original compositions ranging from cosmic techno to velvet jazz and subdued, poignant house. dig deep...

unequal is a label founded by anselm from frankfurt am main in 2015. ranging from deep, spaced out analog techno to more droning, industrial rough sounds, the aim is to give an impression of whats going on in the ffm underground these days. sophisticated broken beats and modular synths are essential for this project. unequal means not to be just one specified style but an open-minded platform to express a diverse view of music within the techno genre. with his first ep called -gral-, anselm delivers some cold, moody techno tracks with spherical soundscapes as an connecting element. the title track on the a side is a journey through wide open extramundane synth layers and bubbling acid drops covered by a voluminous bass. b1 is a bit more conventional one with driving hi-hats and slightly jacking beat whereas b2 is four-to-the-floor trippy stripped-down minimalism for the heads.
